BTP Homeowners and Residents,
Friday — November 1st, 2024 – Notes to the Community
Greetings to all,
Following up on the note sent earlier this week, here are some additional pieces of information concerning our Community.
Greenscapes will begin trimming our palm (not hardwood, leafy) trees on Monday. The project will last between a week and a week and a half until completion. Meanwhile, another crew will clean out the fence line along the southern perimeter at the end of the week as well.
Superior Fence will follow up with the installation of the cyclone fence running to nearly the eastern most part of the southern property line, thus securing our “southern border”, so to speak.
GreenEarth will also be here next week to seal a section of the Boulevard, stretching from the US 41 entrance to the first stop sign. During this period, the front gate will be closed to all traffic. All vehicles will have to enter the resident’s gate from Andrea Lane. This should only take roughly 24 hours for the sealant to dry. Meanwhile the resident’s gate will be open to incoming traffic so that contractors, delivery trucks/vans, etc. may enter the Community. As mentioned earlier, this is a test to determine if a sealant might be used to help preserve our streets until we will ultimately have to re-surface them with new asphalt.
And finally – we’ve received word on Tuesday that Sports Surfaces will be here either tomorrow or next Monday to begin work on the Tennis Court renovations and the installation of the Bocce Court. This project will take at least several months, so we’ll have construction activity going on around the Sports Courts area for quite some time.
Committee news – A new BTP Committee has formed. The Holiday Decorations committee met on Monday to begin plans for decorating Common Areas of the Community this Season. Led by Chair Nancy Enos and her husband Mike, plus Kim and Dan Walerius and Robin Schivinski, they will be finding creative ways to help make the Holidays more festive here. However, they will need some help!! Anyone interested in joining the Committee and helping, please contact Nancy at [email protected]. Since many BTP residents have been less that excited about the Holiday decorations over the last several years, Nancy decided to step up and help make a difference. Please do the same, if you can.
The Communications Committee is looking for your help as well. Since its inception two years ago, the Committee has provided the Community with a great Newsletter, have increased communications within and introduced the new Bell Tower Park web site to enhance information provided to all of us. They’ve come a long way in but 24 months. However, several original members have stepped aside after helping get the initiative rolling. Chairperson Annie Granatino, along with senior member and current keeper of the web site, John Fuller are looking for people to pitch in and keep this initiative going.
Two years ago, community members were bemoaning the lack of communication here in BTP, particularly new owners. These efforts don’t happen by themselves, so please consider getting involved. Whatever expertise that you may have and would like to partake – especially writing articles pertaining to BTP or something else of interest is needed. And, in addition, anyone interested in web site involvement/maintenance would be most appreciated. Email contacts for Annie and John are – [email protected] and [email protected].
The Landscape Committee has done a great job this summer helping to improve the landscape scene presentation in BTP. They too have lost a couple of members that have moved on. New Committee Chair, Dan Kerinuk is looking for a couple of new faces to help plan and recommend to the Board initiatives that need attention within the Community. If you have an interest in landscaping, and obviously many of our residents do, please consider joining this important Committee. Dan can be reached at [email protected].
Bell Tower Park is only as strong and vibrant as our members make it. It’s a great place to live, and we’re on the right track to make it even better. So please consider getting involved if you can.
Thanks, and all the best,
Ron Mc Ewan
